Who we are

JHU Synapse is a chapter of the national Synapse organization and strives to provide social support for individuals with brain injuries by educating, equipping, and inspiring the next generation of leaders in the field of brain injury. Through a network of passionate student leaders, clinicians, and researchers, Synapse promotes healing and growth by combating the isolation individuals with brain injuries often experience. â€‹

Students at Johns Hopkins University can learn about the issues faced by individuals living with a chronic illness through direct engagement and are encouraged to reflect with their peers on the perspectives and needs of community members to continually adapt our programs. We believe an appreciation of this perspective is key to developing the next generation of compassionate and patient-centered clinicians, researchers and advocates to advance the care for those with brain injury.

Join us as we cultivate a powerful community and network of leaders!
